This is one of Joseph's paintings and he uses his mouth to paint. When we were interviewing him, we learned more about the disabled people. Joseph together with the other Self Help Centre Colleagues are Quadriplegic meaning that, their four limbs that i.e.both their arms and legs are disfunctional whilst para means two only the two legs are affected .
Before the foundation was established, we met an amazing, wonderful man who has a powerful testimony and who has always been and has become our first Beneficiary. We started assisting the Quad, Disabled Centre 6 years ago before the foundation became official. We where not even planning to start a foundation, but rather an Ophanage Home, it was always our hearts desire to help the poor and the needy.We were staying at Amakhaya complex just next to the Centre and my husband started assisting the Centre with food parcels until the time we got married and we continued the good work together.
Eddy Martins has known Joseph for more than 6 years and was already involved with the Centre.He has been assisting them with food parcels and continues to do so up to date
They is more blessing in giving than receiving, I believe everyone of us has something to give, it may looks small but it is the thought that matters above everything . The expression of love is giving and sharing, that is the language of true love. Let us put a smile, give hope and make the world a better place for someone.
It's not the quantity of what you can give but the motivation of why you give.
Joseph Machweu is the Centre Manager and Chairperson of Impumelelo Self Help Centre for both Quadriplegics and Para Disabled people, situated, at No 4 Marsabit Pollak Park Springs.
This is Impumelelo Help Centre, situated around Pollak Park Extension 5, just next to Amakhaya or Fairwayview Complex.
Joseph as the Centre Manager is involved in many projects and Poultry is one of them and the Centre is ineed of funds so that they can continue to expand as the project is one of their source of income.They breed and sell most of the Chickens.
What started as a friendship relationships grew to something special.

Welcome all of you to Autism support group. Where we learn and spread Awareness about Autism. Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental condition.However it affects how people communicate and interact with others as well as how they behave and learn. Autism has no cure it is a lifelong condition so we have to learn how to live with autistic people as they behave differently they have got their ways of doing there thinks. *Some common signs* ---avoiding eye contacts --Unexpected reaction to sounds --they may appear deaf while calling them but there aren't (ignorance) --want to play alone --they delay speech -defficulty in understanding other people emotion --not aware of dangers around them --not aware if they hurt themselves (bruises) They are a lot of characteristics of people with Autism

We want thank God for our faithful Partners, we just want to give a brief feedback on the project we are currently working on. Project Name ( UNKULUNKULU AKAKHOHLIWE WENA NTOMBAZANE Translated_ GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU GIRL CHILD) We were challenged, propelled and motivated by Mrs Alice Chamambo to raise and put together, TOLETRIES for the UNDERPRIVILEDGED SCHOOLS & Squtter Camps.Our target is to raise more than 500 SANITARY Pads .We also added Dettol bathing Soap, Colgate & toothbrush pack, Roll on and tissue roll, just to put a smile and boost these vulnerable girls confidence. We were able to reach out to Kwathema Squatter Camp, Underprivileged Community through sister Tebogo and sister(Dineo of Rover Crew NPO) all glory to God. Our team has already spoken to some of the Community Leaders and they have acknowledged the need. We are putting together a small humble hamper of 1.SANITARY PADS which is our number one priority MAXI PADS R5 each in Shoprite / bathing Soap and Roll on we can also add a tooth brush. If we can have more hampers we will be able to reach out and support more girls.Some of them cannot afford these items. Join us and let us make a difference. We will also put an invitation to Christ as we wrap the gift hamper, thank you in advance.
